SLASH & BURN II

A new exhibition featuring Sculptor Clete Shields, Painter Heather Pasqualino and Special Guest Artist, Photographer Michael M Koehler.
SLASH & BURN examines and shares with the viewer, the place from which all creative endeavours are born from the artist.
The place where one lives, creates, expresses and reinvents themselves through the constant and evergrowing body of works, is reflective of the agricultural technique that is Slash & Burn.

Enjoy a magnificent collection of thoughtful imagery captured by renowned photographer, Michael M Koehler.
These timeless and legendary images will move you! Michael has traveled around the world recording moments in life with photography, resulting in an undeniable visceral reaction upon viewing.  Michael's ability to capture a fraction of a moment in time, tells a story of a lifetime.
Michael's photographs are a collection of great novels that have been written without ever typing a word.

http://michaelmkoehler.com/mmk/

Clete Shields shares with his audience yet another level of his creative brillance!
It is impossible not to be captivated by the dramatic movement, the textural element and the silent story of each and every one of Clete's sculptures.
Exhilarating, Powerful &  Larger-Than-Life, Those are the words of a Gentleman, specifically, this Gentlemen and his work. You will be captivated by the characters, people, places and events.

Clete Shields is a living Master.

Heather's paintings are intuitively derived and there is necessity in their creation. Upon observation of her collection of Abstract Expressionism, the eye finds paths that repeat, coalesce, diverge and converge with the ease and commands contemplation.
In addition to her Abstracts, there is a living vibration to be found in her Impressionistic Landscapes and Still Lifes.  Methodically placed colors, and placement of strokes, invite the viewer to fall away from themeselves and delve into the paintings.

I willl be painting on sight between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Please stop by to say "Hello" and take advantage of all of the fantastic art supplies ARTspot carries!    Here's What ARTspot has to say:
"
Art Walk at ARTspot. Heather Pasqualino! Third Thursday August 21 / 5-8pm. Heather epitomizes how up and coming the Edmonds art scene really is... She creates beautiful flowing abstract images using such tried and true materials as oil paint on canvas. But she amazes the viewer with her ability to make visual images you will get lost in, and not want to come back to reality from. Not only will her paintings be at ARTspot for the month, but Art Walk night visitors can meet her and watch her high energy translate into paint - always an artist in action at ARTspot every Art Walk night."
